EBARA Bombas América do Sul Ltda., a group company of Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara").80 or less On April 22nd, EBAS (EBAS Corporation *1) announced that it had completed construction of a new facility in Vargem Grande do Sul (hereinafter referred to as "Vargem Grande do Sul"), located in the northeastern part of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. We will open a pump antenna shop called "ANTENNA SHOP" at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (VGS).
1. Background and Objectives
In Brazil, a vast country, the distribution business is dominated by dealers who sell pumps to end users in each region. EBAS sells standard pumps to 5,000 dealers across Brazil (stores dealing in agricultural equipment, plumbing equipment, and building materials, home improvement centers, etc.), but there is a physical distance and a distance in terms of trade between the manufacturer and the end users who actually use the pumps.
Ebara will open a directly managed antenna shop to solve this problem and promote the strengthening of its global market strategy set out in its long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030."
The antenna shop will have a showroom where customers can see actual machines, including new products, and by directly communicating with customers, such as accepting requests for products and services and after-sales service inquiries, it will be possible to quickly bring products that meet the needs of the local community to market.
2. Overview of the antenna shop
The 80m2 store has around 150 of the 2,000 types of products manufactured by EBAS on display at any one time. In addition to EBAS' representative products such as small single-stage and small multi-stage pumps, the company will also be showcasing its latest models such as solar pumps (pumps powered by solar power) and slurry pumps (for spreading compost on farmland). In addition to selling products, the store will also provide technical consultation for repairs, irrigation systems, fire extinguishing equipment and water supply and distribution systems for buildings, and utility pumps for water supply and distribution in factories.
In addition, approximately 250 employees working at EBAS's VGS factory will gain sales experience at the store once a year, allowing each employee to comprehensively improve their product knowledge, development technology, and service.
3. Our Future Developments
Customer feedback received at stores will be reflected in the improvement of existing products and the development of new products, which customers will be able to see in person at the stores. In addition, by providing direct technical support to customers and quickly resolving their issues, we will be able to provide the high-quality service and attractive products that only a directly managed store can provide. Through these efforts, we aim to build good relationships with local customers and contribute to improving their quality of life.
By addressing key ESG issues based on our long-term vision and medium-term management plan, the EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and further improve our corporate value.

Based on the exemptions from the restrictions (which apply to the supply of machinery and equipment for agriculture, building and construction work, industrial activities, etc.), we had extended the original opening date (March 25th), but with the approval of the VGS Mayor, we have now decided to open. We will do our best to contribute to the market's recovery as soon as possible.
