Selected as "Excellent Construction Contractor for FY2018" by the Japan Sewage Works Agency
Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has been selected as an excellent construction contractor for the second consecutive year by the local joint corporation Japan Sewage Works Agency (hereinafter referred to as "JS") for "Machinery and equipment construction work completed in FY2018."
1. Background
Sewerage systems are indispensable infrastructure facilities for daily life, such as sewage treatment and rainwater drainage. EBARA solves the problems faced by sewage systems through comprehensive engineering of proposals, design, procurement, mechanical equipment construction, and after-sales service of equipment such as pumps and blowers.
2-1 Overview
This selection was made in recognition of Ebara's excellent construction performance among the JS-ordered construction projects completed in fiscal year 2018.
3. Future developments
Ebara's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to support "an earth-friendly society, social infrastructure where people can live safely and securely, and a world where people do not have to worry about water or food," and to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society." Across Japan, there are many infrastructure facilities, including sewerage systems, that are over 40 years old. Ebara proposes equipment renewal and life extension technologies for aging equipment, helping to strengthen social infrastructure. In addition, to deal with flooding caused by typhoons and river flooding, we propose pumps with improved drainage capacity and highly reliable equipment that starts up reliably.
The EBARA Group aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing key ESG issues based on its long-term vision and medium-term management plan, and to further improve its corporate value.
