EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") has received an order for pump equipment repair work at the No. 1 pumping station as part of the seven-year national facility emergency response project "Sugawa Area" from 2016 to 2022.

1. Background
The Sugawa area is located in Ichinoseki City at the southern tip of Iwate Prefecture and is an agricultural area spreading over hills on the right bank of the Kitakami River. This machinery plant has supported agriculture in this area, which was created by the "National Sugawa Development and Construction Project (FY1945-1962). By renovating the aging pumping facilities, it is expected to provide a stable supply of agricultural water in the future and to reduce facility maintenance and management costs.
EBARA solves a wide range of problems faced by agricultural water, water supply, and sewage systems by providing comprehensive engineering services, including proposal, design, procurement, mechanical installation, and after-sales service for pumping facilities that deliver water according to the respective purposes.

3. Future developments
