Participating in "Telework Days 2019" and "Smooth Biz"

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") will participate in "Telework Days," a national campaign for work style reform being implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the Cabinet Office in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and related organizations, and "Smooth Biz," which is being implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government at the same time [Period: July 22nd to September 6th].
This year, the period has been expanded from last year, and Telework Week will be held from July 22nd to October 25th. In particular, approximately 1,000 employees working at the Haneda office have been required to telework three times during the period, in anticipation of the relaxation of traffic regulations during the 2020 Olympics.
Ebara has set out "Implementing corporate culture reform, including work style reform" as a basic policy in its medium-term management plan, E-Plan 2019. We will further promote teleworking, which is described as "a flexible way of working that utilizes ICT (information and communication technology) to make effective use of time and place," and will continue to "improve the working environment and consider diverse working styles."
