Received an order for expansion work at the Shin-Senda Pump Station in Hiroshima City
We are pleased to announce that Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") has received an order for mechanical equipment construction at the Shin-Senda Pump Station (hereinafter referred to as "the Station"), which is responsible for draining stormwater in the city of Hiroshima.
1. Background and Objectives
Hiroshima's city center is located in the lowlands of the Ota River and has the unique feature that the ground is lower than sea level at high tide. Therefore, as a measure to prevent flooding caused by heavy rainfall due to the abnormal weather in recent years, it is expected that the airport's drainage capacity will be increased to mitigate further damage. The full-speed, full-level, standby pump that we received this time is equipment that can handle large amounts of rainwater inflow caused by sudden torrential rains.
2.3 Overview of the construction work
The combined total drainage capacity of the new pumps and the existing pumps at this plant is now 1.4 times that of the previous model.
