Donating pumps to the University of Indonesia

As part of its international cooperation activities through technical guidance, Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") donated a cutaway model of a pump and a booster pump unit to the University of Indonesia in Indonesia on November 14th. The purpose is to help students deepen their understanding of the structure and control of equipment. In conjunction with the donation, a pump seminar was held at the university, attended by more than 70 students and faculty studying mechanical engineering.
1. Background
In Indonesia, where economic growth is continuing, the development of water infrastructure is an urgent issue accompanying urban development, but there is a shortage of engineers who can plan water supply and sewerage systems and other drainage facilities, so the university is focusing on developing such human resources. Ebara has held more than 20 pump seminars in Indonesia so far.
2. Seminar Overview
EBARA has deepened mutual understanding in countries around the world through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Seiji Memorial Fund in 1989, more than 250 seminars have been held around the world, with a total of more than 12,000 participants. In 2019, a total of seven seminars were held in Cambodia, Ecuador, and other countries.
3. Future developments
Ebara will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian and South American countries not only by providing pumps and other products and services, but also through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars.
