Receives order for construction of wood biomass power plant from Soyano Wood Power Co., Ltd.

Ebara Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Atsuo Oi, Head Office: Ota-ku, Tokyo), a member of the Ebara Group, has received an order for the construction of a wood biomass power plant from Soyano Wood Power Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Shinji Takesue).

Soyano Wood Power Co., Ltd. is a wood biomass power generation company established with investments from six companies: Seiyano Kenzai Co., Ltd., Kyuden Mirai Energy Co., Ltd., Kyudenko Corporation, Kitano Construction Co., Ltd., Green Finance Promotion Organization, and Hachijuni Capital Co., Ltd.
In addition, Nagano Prefecture, Shiojiri City, and Seiyano Kenzai Co., Ltd. have been collaborating since 2012 to develop a wood processing facility and a wood biomass power plant, and are promoting the "Shinshu F-POWER Project" with the aim of creating new demand for wood and creating a recycling-oriented society.

The wood biomass power plant will use unused materials such as thinnings that have been left in the forests until now, and lumber scraps generated by wood processing facilities, as fuel, to generate 14,500kW of electricity, the largest output in Nagano Prefecture.

Taking advantage of the features of the internal circulating fluidized bed boiler, which can stably burn a wide variety of fuels, the EBARA Group will continue to contribute to the spread of renewable energy and measures against global warming through the construction of excellent wood biomass power plants and the provision of high-quality services.
