Pump seminar held in Thailand

EBARA Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "EBARA") held a pump seminar in Bangkok, Thailand from August 24th to August 31st, 2017. This seminar is the 26th one co-hosted with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The seminar was attended by 52 people from six countries: Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka.
The seminar focused on pump technology for water supply facilities, and included how to determine the specifications for water supply and intake pumps, a comparison of energy-saving pump operation, and tours of water purification plants and intake pump stations.
EBARA has deepened mutual understanding in countries around the world through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Seiji Memorial Fund in 1989, more than 250 seminars have been held around the world, with a total of more than 12,000 participants. A total of five seminars are planned for fiscal 2017.
EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of countries in Southeast Asia and South America through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars, in addition to providing pumps and other products and services.

* Five EBARA pumps have been delivered to Chaiyanuthit Water Intake Pump Station. This intake pump station takes in river water and pumps it to a reservoir approximately 58 km away. The water stored in the reservoir is used for drinking water, industrial water, and irrigation.
