Pump seminar held in Vietnam

On October 8th, Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") held a seminar at the pump factory of EBARA Vietnam Pump Company Limited, a group company located in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam. Thirty lecturers and students from Thai Nguyen University of Technology participated in this seminar.
The seminar included lectures on basic pump technology, piping loss calculations, and pump specification reviews, as well as a pump assembly workshop at the factory. In the assembly training, the trainees installed the rotor of a 300mm double suction volute pump, and listened intently to the explanations given by the workers.

The pump factory in Vietnam, which opened in 2016, is a factory that can consistently carry out everything from casting production to pump assembly testing, in addition to producing large pumps and pumps with a variety of specifications.
In Vietnam, there is a demand for skilled engineers for the construction of public facilities as part of infrastructure development, and for the construction of pump stations and treatment facilities as part of the expansion of industrial parks, and the advancement of female engineers is also progressing. Many female students and lecturers participated in this seminar.

EBARA has deepened mutual understanding in countries around the world through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Seiji Memorial Fund in 1989, more than 250 seminars have been held around the world, with a total of more than 12,000 participants. A total of five seminars are planned for fiscal 2017.

EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of countries in Southeast Asia and South America through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars, in addition to providing pumps and other products and services.
