"Pepper" introduced for tour service at new waste treatment facility
Our group company, Ebara Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. (EEP), will be introducing "Pepper" *1 to its facility tour services as part of its operations at the Shin-Musashino Clean Center (Musashino City, Tokyo), which is scheduled for completion in March 2017.

The New Musashino Clean Center (provisional name) was contracted to be designed and constructed by EEP with the aim of properly disposing of general waste within Musashino City. In addition to disposing of waste safely and stably, the facility also serves as a "regional environmental awareness center" where citizens can learn about "waste disposal" as a familiar issue, and is open to visitors.
Visitor services for this facility will be provided as part of the operation of the facility by Musashino E-Service Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of EEP.※2 As a "regional environmental awareness center," we aim to stimulate the interest and curiosity of visitors and provide a facility tour experience that is familiar to everyone.
The Ebara Group will continue to work on developing and providing better management services at waste treatment facilities, aiming to create spaces that take into consideration the local community and people's lives.

※ 1 This initiative is being independently implemented by EEP, utilizing Pepper's corporate model "Pepper for Biz" provided by SoftBank Robotics Corp.
※ 2 Musashino E-Service Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ebara Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. The company has been contracted to operate the facilities for the New Musashino Clean Center (tentative name) construction and operation project, which will involve waste disposal and public services for 20 years after completion of the center (scheduled for completion in March 2017).
