Opening ceremony held at pump workshop in Saudi Arabia

Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") held an opening ceremony for a pump workshop at EBARA PUMPS SAUDI ARABIA LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara Saudi"), which it opened in Saudi Arabia, on November 15th.

The opening ceremony was held on the day of the opening ceremony, which was blessed with fine weather and was attended by nearly 90 guests, including representatives of leading local companies and Japanese companies, and included Eng. Fuad Mosa, General Manager of the Local Content & Business Development Unit at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a state-owned company in Saudi Arabia; Eng. Mohammed S. Al-Otaibi, Head of Engineering Department, Eastern Province, Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC); and Norihiro Okuda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Saudi Arabia, who delivered congratulatory speeches. The ceremony was held on a grand scale and was attended by representative executive officer and president Maeda, executive managing director Oi, executive managing director Kimura, and Ebara Saudi Arabia president Maehara.

The workshop is equipped with large cranes and various machine tools, and a system is now in place to carry out on-site diagnosis, repair, modification, overhaul, etc. for all products, including the more than 5,000 process pumps, high-pressure pumps, and large pumps that have been delivered to Saudi Arabia to date. Through workshop activities, we will strengthen our customer-oriented service and support more than ever before.
We will also manufacture standard pumps and deliver Made In Saudi Arabia standard pump products, such as water supply and fire extinguishing units used in infrastructure, building equipment, and general industrial markets, which are expected to continue to grow in the future, to our customers in a timely manner.

In 2016, the Saudi Arabian government announced the long-term national growth strategy "Saudi Vision 2030," which set out drastic economic and social reforms that are not dependent on oil. Ebara Saudi Arabia will contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia through the realization of Saudi Vision 2030 by "developing human resources and promoting employment in the country," "building a domestic supply chain," and "providing products and solutions that anticipate customer needs."
Furthermore, Ebara Saudi Arabia will promote business expansion by making Ebara Saudi Arabia a core base in the Middle East region and considering exports to the Middle East and North Africa.
