Initiatives in the Kumamoto Earthquake
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake and pray for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
In order to ensure a safe and secure life in the disaster-stricken areas, it is essential to restore social infrastructure facilities and industrial facilities that form the basis of the economy as soon as possible. The EBARA Group will do its utmost to support the recovery from the Kumamoto earthquake.
Pumps, blowers, and air conditioning equipment for housing, industry, and public facilities
Since April 15, after the foreshock, we have dispatched technicians to restore delivery equipment at the request of our customers.
We conduct emergency inspections of pumps and electrical equipment at water supply and sewage facilities and drainage stations, as well as air conditioning equipment at hospitals, public facilities, and hotels. In order to quickly respond to the demand for the reconstruction of local infrastructure, including housing and agricultural pumps, we are working to shorten delivery times at our entire factory.
Responding to factories in semiconductor-related industries
Kumamoto is home to many factories in semiconductor-related industries. On April 17, after the main earthquake struck, we set up an emergency response headquarters at the Kumamoto Plant to respond to requests for overhaul and maintenance, and to provide technical support before resuming operations.
Response to Waste Treatment Facilities
In response to a request for cooperation from local governments, we dispatched engineers and operators to waste treatment facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture, and started night operation on April 25. We have a system in place to respond to future requests for earthquake disaster waste disposal.
