Donation of pumps to the Institute of Technology of Cambodia
Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") donated a pump to the Institute of Technology of Cambodia on February 25th as part of its international cooperation activities through technical guidance. Pump classes are held at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, with around 100 students taking the classes each year. The purpose of the class is to deepen students' understanding of pump structure and control methods by having them come into contact with actual pumps.
A pump seminar was held at the university over two days, February 24th and 25th, and was attended by approximately 90 university students and approximately 25 people from government agencies and private companies. The seminar focused on the basics of pumps and the basic planning of pumping stations used in water facilities, and at the end of the seminar, a pump was presented.
EBARA has deepened mutual understanding in countries around the world through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Seiji Memorial Fund in 1989, more than 250 seminars have been held around the world, with a total of more than 11,000 participants. A total of five seminars were held in fiscal 2015.
EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries not only by providing pumps and other products and services, but also through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars.
