Donation of pumps to Ho Chi Minh City Industrial University
Ebara Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Ebara") donated a pump to the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City on December 17th as part of its international cooperation activities through technical guidance. Ho Chi Minh City's Industrial University has a department of turbomachinery engineering, including pumps and refrigeration, with approximately 150 students studying there. Until now, there have been few opportunities for students to come into contact with actual pumps during practical training at the university, so the introduction of pumps as teaching materials was eagerly awaited.
On December 17th, the day the pumps were donated, a seminar on pumps and refrigeration machines was held at the university, and was attended by approximately 80 people, mostly university students. The seminar focused on the basics of pumps, how to decide on the specifications, and the mechanism and selection method of refrigeration units.
EBARA has deepened mutual understanding with countries around the world through international cooperation such as technical guidance. Since the establishment of the EBARA Hatakeyama Seiji Memorial Fund in 1989, more than 250 seminars have been held around the world, with a total of more than 12,000 participants. A total of four seminars were held in fiscal 2016.
Going forward, EBARA will continue to contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries not only by providing pumps and other products and services, but also through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars.
