Pumps suitable for preventing voltage drops due to starting current
Horizontal shaft pump dry start
Product Introduction
This technology allows the pump to start dry (low-torque start) at the same time as intake to suppress voltage drop during startup of the horizontal-shaft suction motor-driven pump, and enables transition from full water to drainage while the impeller is idling.
Features
This shortens work periods, reduces construction costs, and decreases pump downtime.
- Adoption of cage type motor
Since the problem of high starting current can be solved, inexpensive and easy maintenance cage type motor can be adopted. - Adoption of inexpensive motor starting devices
Reactor starters and condorfer starters can be used, eliminating the need for expensive starting devices and voltage guarantee devices typical of inverters.
Simple countermeasures
A dry-starting device is simply installed at the pump inspection port, and neither a power supply nor complicated controls are required. (In the case of horizontal-shaft semi-axial flow pumps)
Therefore, modifications to existing pumps can also be accommodated.
