Waste incineration facility

Waste incineration facilities support comfortable daily lives

As we go about our daily lives, garbage is generated almost every day. Do you know how much garbage (general waste) is produced in Japan every day? It is said that the average person living in Japan produces just under 900g of garbage per day, which amounts to about 40 million tons per year (about 110 Tokyo Domes). Waste treatment facilities are the facilities that properly treat such large amounts of waste.

Since delivering the first stoker-type incinerator* in 1961, the Environmental Company has delivered them to over 500 facilities both in Japan and overseas. In addition, there are more than 80 facilities nationwide that undertake operations. This know-how, based on our top-class operational track record in Japan, creates a virtuous cycle that generates even more trust.

* Stoker-type incinerator: A type of incinerator that dries and heats waste on a stepped fire grate (stoker) and burns it while stirring and moving it. This is the most common type of incineration facility in Japan.
