The Matsumoto City Museum of Art houses and exhibits the works of Yayoi Kusama, a world-famous avant-garde artist from Matsumoto City, as well as other works related to Shinshu-area and mountains. The building was designed by TADANAGA MIYAMOTO ARCHITECT & ASSOCIATES in 2002, and won an award from the Japan Institute of Architects. The museum welcomes visitors at the entrance with a huge colorful-tulip- object by Yayoi Kusama, which has a unique polka dot pattern. The museum attracts many visitors from all over the country and abroad. The museum has been using our products for a long time for the air-conditioning system in the building, and for a large-scale renovation under going,EBARA's new type of absorption chiller/heater with higher efficiency was adopted.
