EBARA Pumps Europe S.p.A. (EPE), a group company of EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA), has reached an agreement with SKF Lubrication Systems Germany GmbH (SKF), a subsidiary of SKF Group, regarding the transfer of SKF's coolant pump (Spandau Pumpen) business. The agreement was signed on July 11th 2023.
In our medium-term management plan "E-Plan 2025," EBARA's Building Service & Industrial Company has identified the development of new markets on a global scale by adding high value-added products as its global strategy, and to this end, the company plans to actively invest in M&A and other growth opportunities.
SKF has a strong product competitiveness and customer base in screw pumps and seal-less coolant pumps for machine tools, and has developed its business mainly in the European region. By taking over the business and utilizing the EBARA Group's resources and network, EBARA aims to enter the global market for machine tools and further expand its business by providing new products and services.
Business to be transferred:
Screw-type and seal-less coolant pumps for machine tools (Spandau Pumpen)
We will take over the Spandau Pumpen business, transfer the production to EPE in Italy, and globally work on developing new customers worldwide. EBARA will continue to expand its product lineup and acquire new sales channels for the industrial market, and drive the growth for its business.
The EBARA Group aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing material issues identified in its long-term vision and executing the medium-term management plan to increase corporate value.
