Last year, the Japanese government issued the declaration of state of emergency three times, in January, April, and July, in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Under the situation with COVID-19, it was fortunate for us that we were able to continue our operations both in Japan and overseas while we carefully took measures to prevent infections. We could not have fulfilled our mission of supporting society and industry without the efforts of all of you, the employees and your families, business partners, suppliers, and customers. Thank you very much.
To build carbon neutral society as well as more comfortable and stable society, various changes are undergoing in the world. In the meantime, the development of digital technology will demand us we should take actions more quickly for global issues. In our long term vision, E-Vision 2030, the EBARA Group aims to further our contributions toward the SDGs and improve ESG-focused management for the creation of a sustainable society, while simultaneously increasing the social/environmental and economic value. I believe it is our mission. Due to the steady improvement in profitability and the growth of our business, we should be able to achieve our 2022 target one year ahead of the plan if we achieve the financial results forecasted in last November. With the further reconstructed corporate structure, we will keep on growing to achieve our vision.
In the EBARA Group, the new workstyle including remote working as well as customer support with infection control will be considered to implement. In order to execute global management and solve global issues, we need everyone in the Group and organizations to demonstrate our abilities in our respective work.
