Social Contribution Policy

At Ebara machinery India (Emi), we are committed to making a meaningful contribution to society in line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of supporting communities in the fields of water, air, and the environment. Our initiatives focus on improving clean water access, sanitation, and community infrastructure, while aligning with the ministry of corporate affairs guidelines and our corporate objectives.

Main activities


1.  EBARA Machinery India’s 1st Social Contribution :

Supporting Village Primary School Infrastructure

Focus Area : Education & Infrastructure


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society in the fields of water, air, and the environment, Ebara machinery India (Emi) initiated its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity on 1st June 2023. Emi visited a village primary school near Navi Mumbai, which is run by a charitable trust. The team interacted with the school management to understand key issues related to drinking water, sanitation, and infrastructure. As an initial step to support them, Emi contributed four file racks to the school.



2.  EBARA Machinery India’s 2nd Social Contribution :

Providing Water Cooler to New English School

Focus Area : Clean Water & Sanitation


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society in the fields of water, air, and the environment, Ebara machinery India (Emi) carried out its second social contribution activity on 2nd august 2023. New English school, a village primary school near Navi Mumbai, is run by a charitable trust. Emi personnel reached out to the school management and donated a water cooler to them. Earlier in June 2023, Emi had also contributed file racks to the school.



3.  EBARA Machinery India’s 3rd Social Contribution :

Supporting Utkarsh Balwadi Kindergarten

Focus Area : Education & Infrastructure


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society and the United Nations sustainable development goals, Ebara machinery India (Emi) carried out its third social contribution activity on 8th December 2023. Utkarsh balwadi is a kindergarten school that provides a nurturing space for 36 children from nearby street vendor families. The school is run by the Utkarsh woman organization. Emi, through the we club, contributed 40 chairs for the children.



4.  EBARA Machinery India’s 4th Social Contribution :

Supporting Livelihoods

Focus Area : Community Support for the Marginalized


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society, Ebara machinery India (Emi) carried out its fourth social contribution activity on 21st February 2024. This project was implemented through a partnership model with Ebara as the corporate donor and kolping India as the project implementation partner. The initiative supported the purchase of raw materials required for business activities, which were handed over to six beneficiaries in Chennai.



5.  EBARA Machinery India’s 5th Social Contribution :

Biogas Units for Old Age Home

Focus Area : Environmental & Resource Sustainability


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society, Ebara machinery India (Emi) carried out its fifth social contribution activity on 25th June 2024. The project was implemented in collaboration with Ebara as the corporate donor and we club of thane, Mumbai, as the co-sponsor and implementation partner. Emi sponsored two biogas units for an old age home run by an NGO in umbarli village, Kalyan region, Maharashtra. This initiative helped the home save costs on cooking gas.



6.  EBARA Machinery India’s 6th Social Contribution Program 1 :

School Infrastructure Upgrade & Women Skill Development

Focus Area : Skill Development & Women Empowerment


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society, Ebara machinery India (Emi) carried out its sixth CSR activity on 30th April 2025 at Panvel, Navi Mumbai, India.

The project, implemented through the club of Panvel, involved:

  1. Upgrading infrastructure in 24 government schools in Maharashtra by providing library books, bookshelves, and toys for children.
  2. Giving a facelift to a kindergarten by painting the building to attract and motivate children.
  3. Supporting the skill development of 10 economically weaker women by providing beautician course kits.


7.  EBARA Machinery India’s 6th Social Contribution Program 2 :

Women Empowerment & Skill Development

Focus Area : Skill Development & Women Empowerment


In line with Ebara corporation’s corporate philosophy of making extensive contributions to society, Ebara machinery India (Emi) handed over a women empowerment and skill development project on 19th June 2025 at Panvel, Navi Mumbai, India, as part of its sixth CSR initiative. The activity involved empowering women through skill development by sponsoring sewing machines, stitching classes, and stitching kits.



8.  EBARA Machinery India’s 7th CSR Project :

Clean Water & Sanitation Initiatives Across Three States

Focus Area : Clean Water & Sanitation


In line with Ebara Corporation’s Corporate Philosophy of making extensive contributions to society, EBARA MACHINERY INDIA (EMI) implemented its seventh CSR project with activities in three states of India — Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Karnataka (Rural Bangalore), and Maharashtra (Rural Pune). The theme of the project was Clean Water & Sanitation. This initiative was carried out in alignment with EMI’s corporate objectives and in accordance with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs guidelines. EMI partnered with United Ways Bangalore, a government-certified organization specializing in the implementation of CSR projects for corporates, which handled the identification and execution of the activities.
