Regarding the Relocation to the Futtsu Plant

EBARA CORPORATION is scheduled to relocat the operations of its aging Haneda Plant to a new plant that is located in the city of Futtsu in Chiba Prefecture.
The move is designed to help EBARA optimize its domestic bases in a manner that helps increase manufacturing efficiency of the Fluid Machinery & Systems Company business and thereby augment its competitiveness and profitability. The move is also designed to contribute to an environmental impact reduction.
By the end of September 2010, all of the Haneda Plant’s manufacturing functions will be transferred to the new plant, which will manufacture large-diameter, large-scale pumps and high-pressure pumps, primarily for overseas oil and gas-related markets as well as for domestic and overseas electric power- and water infrastructure-related markets.
In addition, a portion of the Haneda Plant site is to be used by EBARA as the site for constructing a new Head Office building that is expected to be ready for opening at the end of April 2008.
