Corporate Citizenship

EBARA Group considers corporate compliance, such as abiding by laws and social norms and implementation of corporate ethics, to be very important. We strive to be broadly accepted by society, contribute to the development of society, and to grow with society. We will carry out our activities while maintaining fair and sound relationships with those around us, including our customers, suppliers, shareholders, employees and the community at large.

EBARA Group's business activities aim to achieve a "sustainable recycling society". We are promoting technological development and business operations that are based on the principle of "Zero-Emission", which aims to reduce the burden on our environment to as close to zero as possible.

As contributing members of society, we are actively involved in various social activities, including community, cultural, sports and environmental activities, and technology promotion overseas. In addition, we have set 5 basic principles and the EBARA Group standards as our code of conduct.

A number of historical cultural items, such as tea sets collected by Issei Hatakeyama, the founder of EBARA, are displayed at Hatakeyama Memorial Hall. As part of our cultural activities, we are supporting the management of the Hall in order to share these rare articles with the public.
Additionally, we are also actively involved in sports activities. Our women's tennis team won the 19th Tennis Japan League, held in February 2005. The women's basketball team, "EBARA Vickies" is a member of the WI league, and is now training to join the W league, which is the top female basketball league.
