Change in material recycling rate and the final landfill disposal rate

Material recycling rate of over 95% has been attained since FY2007. Final waste landfill rate, targeted at the rate of less than 3% of total waste, was achieved in FY2010 with the result of thorough disassembling and segregation of waste and exploiting the undertaker for disposing recycling waste materials.
We will continue to maintain the material recycling rate of 95% and the final waste landfill rate of less than 3%.We will revise the target rate more strictly based on the feasibility in view of technology and cost.

We will endeavor to reduce the volume of CO2 emission continuously towards 2020, applying insulating paint coatings and replacing more energy-saving lighting and boilers.
Transitions in the amount of drinking water, industrial water and groundwater consumption

We attained the target of 22% reduction of consumption of tap water, industrial water and groundwater in FY2010 which was set to reduce by 10% compared with FY2000, implementing reuse of water in test operation and leakage control.
Change in emissions of chemical substance

As for the emissions of chemical substances, substances controlled by the PRTR Laws and VOC (volatile organic compounds) have been reduced in FY2010 by 34% and 43% respectively, against their FY2010 targets (20% and 30% reduction compared with FY2000), as a result of new installation of VOC removal facilities and efforts to control the sources of these emissions.
We will continue to reduce the emissions of substances controlled by the PRTR Laws towards FY2020 and maintain over 30% reduction of VOC emission compared with FY2000.
