With regards to a part of EBARA overseas group companies, some factories has suspended their operations in accordance with the government order for each country along with the recent COVID-19 outbreak. The following is the status for our company.
In the meanwhile, no positive cases of the coronavirus have been reported for our employees both in Japan and other countries. The EBARA Group will be continuously cautious of the future change and situation as well as implement actions to minimize any kind of risk which might affect our customers. We will appreciate for your kind understanding and cooperation from all the business partners and stakeholders.
The status of factory operations
All the factories are in normal operation, although parts supply imported from overseas is being affected
1) Factories suspended the operations in accordance with the government order
- Ebara Pumps Philippines, Inc.（Philippines）: March 18th – April 12th
- Ebara Pumps Europe S.p.A.（Italia）: March 23rd – April 3rd
All the factories resumed the operations
3) Other countries
In some countries such as Europe, the United States etc, a stay-at-home order and curfew are imposed by the government or municipality. Due to those regulations, there are factories operating below capacity with reduced staffing and business hours, however continuing to run.
The information above is as of March 25th. Please kindly understand that the status might be changed depending on the future situation or regulation for each country.
3. Impact on the business
With regards to the impact on the consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2020, it is difficult to forecast at this moment. As soon as the business performance affected by the COVID-19 is clarified, we will disclose further information accordingly.
